Valenvia is an independent insurance comparison and intermediary service. We help individuals, particularly expatriates and internationally mobile people, identify and access suitable insurance products from a panel of insurance providers.
Important: Valenvia is an insurance intermediary, not an insurance provider or underwriter. We do not issue, underwrite, or guarantee any insurance policy. All policies are issued by the relevant licensed insurer, subject to their own terms and conditions.
As an insurance intermediary operating in connection with the EU Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) and applicable national insurance distribution regulations, we are committed to acting honestly, fairly, and professionally in the best interests of our customers.
Please note: Valenvia is currently in the process of completing formal regulatory registration. If you have questions about our regulatory status, please contact us directly at hello@valenvia.com.
The EU Insurance Distribution Directive (Directive 2016/97/EU) establishes requirements for persons who carry out insurance distribution activities within the European Union. As an insurance intermediary, we aim to comply with the principles of the IDD, including:
The information and comparison service provided by Valenvia is an information service. It does not constitute personal financial advice or a personal recommendation under applicable law.
We do not carry out a full suitability assessment of your financial circumstances, risk appetite, or long-term financial goals. Our comparison tool is designed to match your stated requirements with relevant products from our provider panel.
Before purchasing any insurance product, you should:
Nothing on this website or in our communications constitutes a binding offer of insurance. All coverage is subject to the insurer's acceptance and the terms and exclusions of the policy issued.
Valenvia's services are free to use. We are remunerated by the insurance providers on our panel when a customer takes out a policy through us. This remuneration takes the form of a commission, typically calculated as a percentage of the annual premium paid by the customer.
Key point: The commission we receive does not affect the price you pay. Insurance providers price their products consistently whether you arrange them directly or through an intermediary like Valenvia. You do not pay more by using our service.
Our commission rate is standardised across providers where possible, meaning we do not have a financial incentive to recommend one provider over another. Where commission rates differ between providers, we will disclose this to you on request.
You have the right to request information about the nature and amount of any remuneration we receive in connection with a specific policy recommendation. To make this request, contact us at hello@valenvia.com.
We take reasonable steps to identify and manage potential conflicts of interest that could affect the service we provide to you. These include:
Where we identify a conflict of interest that we cannot adequately manage, we will disclose it to you clearly before providing a recommendation.
Our conflict of interest policy is available on request. Please contact hello@valenvia.com to request a copy.
We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve all issues fairly and promptly. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please follow the steps below:
Email us at hello@valenvia.com with the subject line "Complaint" and include:
We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to provide a full response within 30 calendar days. Where a complaint is complex and requires more time, we will keep you informed of progress.
If you remain dissatisfied after receiving our final response, you may have the right to refer your complaint to the relevant financial services ombudsman or regulatory authority in your country of residence.
EU residents may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If your complaint relates to the actions or decisions of an insurance provider (rather than Valenvia's service), you should contact the insurer directly using the contact details in your policy documents. Insurers are separately regulated and are responsible for their own complaints handling.
We currently compare products from the following insurance providers. Each provider is independently regulated and licensed to distribute insurance products in the relevant jurisdictions:
Our provider panel is subject to change. We periodically review the providers we work with to ensure we continue to offer relevant and competitive options for our customers. The inclusion of a provider on our panel does not constitute a personal endorsement of all their products.
For more information about these providers, see our Providers page.
